Heather Stouffer

Heather Stouffer built the events department at Catawba Island Club from the ground up in 2017, where she is now scaling back and is responsible for planning and executing Yachtsmen Association events.
Heather has been a part of CIC’s staff since her early college years, starting at the front desk and transitioning into several different roles throughout her time. As the special events coordinator, she loves to welcome guests to CIC and observe their awe, as they experience the magnificent facility located along the shores of Lake Erie.
Outside of CIC, you’ll find Heather walking her dog Franklin around Catawba, playing tennis or boating with family and friends. In the winter months, she is proud to say that she’s a puzzle geek and loves challenging her brain.
Heather is married to Jim Stouffer Jr., and together, they have raised two children, Nic and Lily, along with their dog Franklin. They reside year-round on Catawba Island. She also is a stepmom to James, David and Matthew Stouffer.
Joa Bernard

Joa Bernard joined the events department at Catawba Island Club in May of 2021, where she specializes in wedding and pavilion events, as well as support CIC member destination events.
Joa arrived at CIC with more than XX years of customer service experience. A native of the Dominican Republic, she earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration and management from UCSD in 2009 and an associate’s degree in hospitality and tourism from PUCMM in 2005. Joa’s keen eye for detail, coupled with her unique combination of education and experience, makes her an expert on bringing a wedding vision to life.
Joa is passionate about event planning and loves turning her clients dream into reality. Outside of CIC, she enjoys traveling the world and planning every detail of her trip. She also likes spending time with family and friends, eating sushi, drinking martinis and listening to music. Joa and her husband, Joe, currently reside in Sandusky.
stacy maple

Stacy Maple joined the events department at Catawba Island Club in November of 2021, where she specializes in member events, sports and activities, as well as GEMINI events.
Alongside her duties in the events department, Stacy oversees a comprehensive development process, enhancing programs, services and amenities for CIC members, as well as helping departments within the organization achieve full potential. She came to CIC after most recently spending two years as the Vice President of Hospitality at Lakeside Chautauqua. Stacy also is known for her time spent at Bistro 163, a non-profit restaurant in Port Clinton.
Stacy’s passion lies in helping people. She has always had a love for all things culinary, as she has spent most of her life traveling and learning about food. With lots of different experiences in hospitality, she brings an array of knowledge about the industry to CIC.
Outside of CIC, you’ll find her spending quality time with her husband, watching her kids compete in sports, and trying out new restaurants with friends. Stacy resides in Lakeside with her husband Criss and their two children, Christian and Noelton.
